Day 1 

Arriving in Colombo international airport you will be driven to one of the best tourist destinations in South Asia , Galle where you will spend 3 nights. First day for total relaxation at a beach front holiday resort in Kokgala.

 

Day 2

Morning visit to  the  world heritage Dutch fort in Galle. Built by the Portuguese in 16th century  and later fortified by the Dutch in 17th century and by the British in 19th century, this charming , alluring and awe-inspiring monument is a must see during your Sri Lanka tour. You will find this exotic enclave a delight to explore on foot. Also enjoy magnificent  views  over the city and the cool breeze sweeping across the Indian Ocean. Afterwards we will climb up the perennial Rumassala hill on the other side of the Galle harbour to see the beautiful white pagoda up on the hill and take in the astonishing vistas over the Indian ocean. Our next visit to a cave temple in a nearby village. You will be enchanted by the calm and serene atmosphere of the place which is truly soul soothing. Coming back to the hotel you can enjoy a beautiful evening on the gorgeous  Kokgala beach. Explore the beach, see the stilt fishermen, look for lucky encounters of turtles or go on surfing.

Day 3 

You will take a visit to the  Martin Wickramasingha folk museum. Mr. Wickramasingha was the most prolific writer in the 20th century here. This is his ancestral home converted into a museum. You can see a lot of artifacts related to his life and work. There are many other artifacts depicting the simple, unsophisticated life style of rural villagers a century ago and . Then we explore the surrounding area a bit , seeing the beautiful Kokgala Lake and the air strip to capture some nice pictures. You can take a boat safari to explore the lake and its numerous islands. The rest of the day is all yours to rest and relax .

Day 4 

We are leaving  for Deniyaya where you will spend the next 5 days in retreat type holiday resort. Deniyaya is close to Sinharaja rain forest , the largest pristine rain forest in Sri Lanka and a world heritage site, and renowned  for its salubrious climate , stunning surroundings and low grown tea. During your stay, you will explore the forest and jungles around the village. Swim in idyllic rivers, trek on verdant paths and relax in the wonderful ambience. You can also engage in Yoga , mediation and  enjoy revitalizing body treatments as per your wish.

Day 5  

All day is yours to rest ,immerse yourself in nature or enjoy rejuvenating treatments . For those keen on bird watching can take a morning walk to see many birds as they forage for food. An evening tour will reveal the stunningly beautiful surroundings with an incredible array of flora and fauna and you can get deeper into the jungle to reach a magnificent water fall  

         

Day 6

We take a river safari today to have an incredible experience with a skilled guide. You will explore elusive rivers that flow through natural vegetation with shady trees providing shelter for picnic areas , hidden waterfalls and streams and thick jungle with an astonishing variety of plants and herbs

Day 7 

Today we take a jungle safari into the world heritage Sinharaja rain forest ,only surviving pristine rain forest in the country. Unaffected by human settlement, Sinharaja is an absolute feast for the senses and with a sense of wildlife all around. This is one such area that wide-ranging habitats provide a home for an array of wildlife and are perfect for unobtrusive watching

 

Day 8 

Today we take a safari to the Udawalawa national park .Udawalawa National Park is a prime position for elephant spotting, and here you’ll also come across buffalo, crocodiles, colourful birds, deer, and plenty of monkeys

Day 9

After a rejuvenating nature holiday we head back to Colombo international airport for your return flight. Depending on the time we will visit the beautiful lake side Gangarama temple on the way.
