The Ramayana is a 5000 year old SansKrit epic written by an ancient sage called Valmiki. According to Ramayana Sri Lanka was the battle ground of an epic war waged against a mighty prehistoric ruler with the aim of rescuing a beautiful princess he had abducted from Ayodhya, India. Numerous Places in current Sri Lanka are widely believed to be the venues of major events in this great epic. The Ramayana trails is a sequence of places believed to be the stopovers or abodes of princess Sita during her captivity in Sri Lanaka and locations of her husband’s fights for her liberation. This package willl include all major venues related to the incidents in Ramanaya and a few other attractions of your choice.
In addition to the places mentioned below you can add a few other places of interest to the package including Kandy , Sigiriya , Polonnaruwa etc.

Sri Baktha Hanuman Temple at Ramboda – Ramboda is a place where Hanuman was searching for Sita Devi
Sri Lankatheeswarar temple – was established in Nuwara Eliya with the Shiva Lingam installed in this temple which was found in the rivers of Narmada of India under the directions of a great Sage Sri Gayathiri Devi in the year of 1986.

A bio diverse hotspot and a nature paradise wilderness of Knuckles mountain range encompasses some of the venues of the final battle between King Rawana and Prince Rama.
Ashoka Vatika
Ashoka Vatika or the garden of Ashoka trees, now Haggala Botanical Gardens in Nuwaraeliya is one of the places where princess Sitha was kept in captivity. Today Sitha Amman temple is situated at the site.

Ussangoda National Park.
Ussangoda is a place where there is a very unique composition in the soil, that gives it a very reddish colour. The place is believed to have been burned by Lord Hanuman in a furious rampage after he was set on fire by Rawana's forces.
Rawana Caves
Situated in picturesque Ella this mystical cave is believed to be one of the places princess Sitha was held in captivity. This is located in close proximity to Rawana falls.
