Day 1

Àrriving in Colombo you will be picked up by our chauffer guide and driven to the southern city of Galle. Checking into your hotel in calm and serene Kokgala beach you have the rest of the day for rest and relaxation.

Day 2

After a refreshing and relaxing beach time you will take a visit to Galle, the exotic old trading port city. The land mark Dutch fort is a world heritage site and a delight to explore. First built by the Portuguese in 16th century and then overtaken and further fortified by the Dutch in 17th century and the British in 19th century  this immaculately preserved Dutch fort is said to be the best surviving European built fortress in Asia. Wander its rambling lanes passing Dutch colonial buildings ,ancient churches, grand mansions, museums and stylish cafes. Among the fort's main attractions are the ramparts, the light house, the clock tower, ancient churches , museums and the old Dutch headquarters, now the luxury Aman hotel. Stroll the ramparts enjoying the cool breeze sweeping across the indian ocean and capture some nice views over the city, Galle harbour and the Indian ocean. Evening is all yours to spend on the idyllic kokgala beach.

Day 3

Checking out your hotel after breakfast you head out to visit Martin Wickramasingha folk mesuem. This interesting place has exhibits relating to work,arts,crafts and culture of local life a century before. Also the ancestral home of Mr.Wickramasingha who is the most prolific writer of 20th century Sri Lanka has been preserved and it has many exhibits relating to his life and work. Here you will get an insight into simple and unsophisticated life average village folks lived a century before.  Then we move on to Mirissa. The cosy little resort has a superb sandy beach, surrounded by swaying palm trees. After checking in to your hotel you have the rest of the day to spend on the golden sandy beach in Mirissa. 

 

Day 4

Mirissa is perhaps the best place in Sri Lanka for whale watching and if you come to Mirissa whale watching is never to be missed. We take an early morning boat ride to watch whales and dolphines in their playfull summesaults and dance on the waves. In the afternoon you would be excited to visit a snake farm. Run by a indigenous doctor treating envenomation this facility shelters various kinds of venomous & non-venomous snakes that are kept for research purpose.Coming back from the snake farm you have the rest of the day to explore the beach. Have a leisurely stroll to find the secret beach , reach the palm tree hill or explore the parrot rock. You can also engage in water sports or just lie down watching a magnificaent sunset. fter this exciting sea safari we move further down the coast line to Tangalle, a low-key tourist resort where you will find a much less crowded coast line with tranquill bays and beautiful rugged beaches.

Day 5 

Today we move further down the coastal line to Tangalle, a low-key tourist resort where you will find a much less crowded coast line with tranquil bays and beautiful rugged beaches. You will also pay a visit to Mulkirigala Ancient Temple which situated on 205m high natural rock flanked by another 4 rocks. Buddha statues in various postures and beautiful murals can be seen here. You will also visit Hummanaya Blow Hole. This one is considered to be the second largest blow hole in the world. It gets active every couple of minutes and shoots up the spray as high as 30m.

Day 6

After spending a couple of morning hours in the serenity of Tangalle beach you will be heading to Yala for a thrilling and a memorable wild life safari. En route we make a brief stop over at Ussangoda National Park.Ussangoda is a patch of high ground by the sea and spreads over a significant area. It is known for its unusual soil structure, flora, and location.General belief is that it is a part of a meteor or a proximity to a meteor hit. The main reason for this belief is the soils brick-like hard quality with a reddish colour which is unique to this patch of land.

Yala is the second largets and the most visited wild life park in Sri Lanka which is known for its variety of wild animals. Yala records the highest density of leopard population in the world. It also has a large number of elephants too. Other mammals include sloth bear, spotted deer, Sambar deer, the occasional Mouse deer, Rusty-spotted cat, and diverse birdlife including raptors, waders, and shorebirds.

Day 7

The last day of your tour .You can spend a couple of hours enjoying the refreshing ambience of Tangalle beach before starting your journey heading back to Colombo air port.If time permits we will take a short sight seeing visit to Colombo which will probably include beautiful Gangarama temple by the lake and an evening stroll along the Galle face green.
